Photography I

This course is divided into four sections.  The first provides basic photographic skills and fundamental design principles.  The second advances those skills by introducing lighting methods that formulate visual literacy.  In order to extend the visual vocabulary, the third section investigates the physiognomy of landscape and portrait photography. The last assignment involves producing a series using a metaphoric language.  The focus is to promotes a deeper personal and expanded way of seeing.  The slide lectures present historical and modern photographic works that illustrate the methods and concepts of each section.
